Reish and Ryaan are having the fun times of their lives. As Reish is growing up fast, Ryaan is able to enjoy her more now. All she want to do is just follow his footsteps. See the second picture of her checking on Ryaan as he was making that face. And i L.O.V.E the way the two of them are glancing at each other with a smile. So, so cute.
And also Reish have crossed one huge milestone. She walks now..It happened two days back. For now she s taking five steps.But that's OK.This mama is happy !!

January 25th was the national day of Maldives. And all the parents were informed to bring their kids wearing a national costume. This is how mine went. He looked super duper cute.

Here, he was admiring the little girl s bangles and he was touching them.

On Tuesday my little family and my besties cute little family went for a picnic to Villingili.  My little boy adores them.
The kids had a blast. Ryaan kept saying ''this is so fun Mommy''. And best of all he can put his face underwater in floating position. Hurray for Daddy.!!!
As for Reish she couldn't stop laughing when we put her in the water. She was all smiley and giggly.100% girl for sure.

Happy Birthday Darling Daughter !!

I cant believe she s one.Neither can i believe she s been in my life for 365 days. Time goes fast, but i have loved every minute of her life. Like the tradition that i have been having for my boy, i would like to write her a letter as well.

Dearest darling Reish,

This is one of the many letters that i will be writing to you. You were born on a Tuesday afternoon at 13:00pm via a c-section. From that very moment, you have brought none other than happiness into our lives. You are such a content and an independent baby. You are always happy and smiley. You are just the sweetest little girl. You smile when anyone looks at you.

You like your food very much masha Allah.I didn't had any difficulty in feeding you. You started eating solid foods at nine months. That is way fast than your brother. I tried giving mashed food, but you didn't co-orporate. So now its super easy for mommy, as it s 100% easier to feed both at the same time and the same food.

You had your first tooth at 10 months. And now you have 4 teeth. Two above and two below.
You get along well with your brother. You and your brother laugh so hard during play time. And its a wonderful sight to see.
You can say few words such as ''bye-bye'',''Bir - for bird'', ''Bear''.
You know how to shake your head to say ''no'' and how to clap your hands.

Mommy s precious girl, you are such an amazing little bear. You are constantly watching Ryaan and always have your eye on him. For now you like to suck your thumb, but only when you are  sleepy.
I pray to god that you become the best little girl any parent could have. If all the babies were like you, i would definitely have a few more. Baby girl, you are just PERFECT.

We love you so much and cant wait to see who you become each day.
I love you with all my heart.

Love:-
Mommy

Ryaan s First Day @ School

December had been our vacation month, as we all went to see the parents from Nish s side.We stayed there for almost a month. And we surely did have fun, specially the kids. But i will update on the trip later,as this post is specially dedicated to my precious boy.

December 8th was his very first day at school as well as quran class. And he did enjoy it alot. There was no crying, and i only saw happiness from his face. Although the first day they got to spend the school time with their parents, yesterday they had t go alone. He didn't show any kind of fear. And once i took him inside the classroom he just gave me a kiss and said ''bye mommy''. That two words melted my heart.

I have uploaded the special day s pictures below.Darling son, mommy and daddy are so proud of you.!!

From One To Two

How do you do it?
how to do you handle two?

It s a question i get asked quite often the in last couple of months. And the answer is simple. ''you just do it'' !!
Although Reish was a planned baby, i was terrified as soon as i came to know i was pregnant with her.I was terrified when the due date of her arrival came. I asked friends who had two kids, i Google ways to make it easier for me. Some gave me positive answers which i felt comfortable with, others just said it was going to get hard when baby number two comes.
Then came the birth of Reish, i kept thinking ''how will i survive?''..
Then we brought her home. Ryaan has been an excellent brother till date, and Reish is such a content baby ,so that made it alot easier.

I didnt had any magic done to take care of the two i had. I do what has to be done and move on to the next thing that needs to be done.I just went with the flow. Some days are easy and some are hard. At the start there were days that i had to feed Reish while giving lunch to Ryaan. It was nt easy at first. But later on i got used to it. I mastered it.

There s not a lot of time to do anything else other than playing with them, feeding them, changing them and making sure their needs are met.

Taking care of two kids is not difficult but you do not get a whole lot of free time. There are days that i miss the care free pre baby days. But i wouldn't trade what we have now for anything. They both are the best things that ever happened to me and Nish.

A Sweet Brother

I have always wanted to know how it felt like to have a elder brother. And since i grew up with three sisters and three younger brothers, i never experienced a brotherly love.
After being married to my husband and living with him, i had started seeing a clear picture of the love of a brother. The love that my husband have for his siblings is the most lovable thing i have seen. He is the rock of the family. He takes care of them and help them in ways that they cant even imagine. He looks after them and he never let his parents down. He is a fantastic brother.Picturing those moments, i secretly always prayed that Ryaan walk in his footsteps. And my prayers have already been answered. (God is great...i know). Since Reish was born, a lot of friends have asked whether if there is a sibling rivalry in the house. And i always had to nod my head and say NO. To this date, i haven't seen Ryaan fighting his sister. N.E.V.E.R !!
I think it s also safe to say that we dont have sibling rivalry at our house.( i hope i dont get jinxed for saying this ).
Since I am home alone with the kids, there were certain things which i hated doing. I always had dreaded taking a shower while leaving the kids alone in the room. But it s something which needs to be done at least once a day. So, when i am going in the shower i always, always tell Ryaan to look after Reish. And one particular morning he was laying  on the couch in the sitting room. And i told him that i was going in the shower and to look after Reish.
Ryaan:- (looked up and said) Where is Weishtho?
Me:- She is playing in the bedroom.
Ryaan:-Bring Weishtho here.
So, i went inside and brought her near the couch.
Ryaan:- Mommy go shower now.

Incident number two also occurred on a fine morning. Reish was napping when i had hopped in the shower after finishing some chores. I was almost done when i heard a clapping sound. So i quickly came out and saw Ryaan and Reish sitting on our bed and clapping. I also noticed some other thing. All the pillows and bolsters were kept at the edges of the bed. I asked Ryaan why. To which he replied back saying ''Weishtho wont fall down.

Can you spot the brotherly love and protection. My heart melt for boys like this. I am so grateful for the sweet brother that my husband had turned into and much more than that i am grateful for the protective loving little brother my son is turning into. It s a beautiful sight to see every day.

What We Were Upto

It s been one eventful month for us. And it all started with a cold. At first Ryaan caught the flu while we were in Muli. And after we came back home, my dear husband got it..and as he was half way through, Reish caught the flu as well. And the last was me. So we all spent like almost 3 weeks with this flu. And we all dreaded it.

Reish has started teething while we were in Muli. And now we can see two tiny front teeth. She looks so cute when she smiles. The two words to describe her current smile are ''naughty'' and ''cute''.

Ryaan went to the mosque for the first time in his life. He went on the 17th of this month with my brother. At first i had wanted him going to his first prayer with Nish, but since my brother asked, we thought we will see how it goes with him. So, he went to Asru prayer and came back with flying colors. It seemed he behaved very well. And since then he had gone to four prayers. We are so proud of you, son.

I made this cake last week. And it was D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S !! It s a chocolate cake with a creamy icing.

On Saturday a good friend of Nish invited us to watch the lion king in 3D in a cinema. It was a small, private cinema of another friend. So me,Nish and Ryaan headed there  to watch it, while Reish stayed with our loving baby sitter.Ryaan stayed without moving for like 15 mins.He then moved a little bit here and there until it finished. But mommy enjoyed the movie a lot. (May be i enjoyed it too much so that i forgot to take pictures). And afterwards we took him to the park.

Reish also had her share of fun that day, as she and Nish went on a motor cycle ride in the morning.

Ryaan is becoming this talkative boy who reminds me so much of my elder sister. They both have the talkativeness in common. The other day i saw Ryaan looking at a girl who was little bit older than him.She was just heading out when i heard him saying ''Dont look at strangers, it s dangerous''. And this mama was in a shock. Where is my little boy...He is growing up way faster than i thought.

And here is a cute video of my sonny boy making roshi. You can see a little helper beside him.
